Well Branded Destinations October, 2007

October 16th - October 20th

This mission was facilitated by Roger Brooks with Destination Development Inc., and visited Leavenworth, Winthrop, Poulsbo, and Port Townsend, Washington, October 16 - 20, 2007.

This mission took industry involved in destination development to cities, towns, or regions that are actively participating in a coordinated branding effort. Initiatives that the destination would have undertaken include marketing materials, signage, product experience, private sector buy-in and supporting businesses, information kiosks, pride of place. It is well themed with respect to brand, delivering on the promise, coordinated/packaged.  

 

•Overall the group enjoyed the mission and learned new marketing ideas, lots of informative information, and will be able to incorporate new development ideas in Atlantic Canada.

•The group truly enjoyed Roger Brooks and his mobile workshops for the first two days because they allowd for time maximization and a great deal of group discussion on key problem issues.
